Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of services do you offer?

A: We offer a variety of services so we can best fit you and your pets needs. We offer 30 minute drop in visits, adventure walks, doggy daycare, and overnight boarding in your home or at our POMP Facility.

Q: How can I keep up with the company?

A: We put out a monthy newsletter called PAWSITIVITY that we send to all our clients via our Time To Pet app. There, you can keep up with all the changes being made to our company policies as well as fun information about animals!

Q: Are you open on weekends and holidays?

A: Yes, we are open on weekends and holidays! However, we do not accept pick up or drop offs on weekends since we are most busy on those days. In order to keep our boarding facility open on holidays, we do close occasionally. Check out our newsletter for updates on when we are closed.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If you need to cancel, please do so at your earliest convenience. If cancellation takes place within 48 hours of the dates of service, it is at the discretion of the service provider to charge a portion, or the full amount, for the agreed upon services and dates. For all peak and holiday dates, cancellation will need to take place no later than 7 days before the first date of service.

Q: What kind of certifications do you have?

A: I am so happy to announce that I recently passed the Certified Professional Pet Sitters exam! This is a certification from Pet Sitters International (PSI), the governing body that I most closely follow in guiding me in my business. I also earned the Pet FirstAid & CPCR certification.

Q: How many dogs do you board at a time?

A: How many dogs we board at once depends on the types of dogs on our schedule and their personalities. We aim to board 8-10 dogs at a time.

Q: What does a typical day of boarding look like?

A: Our boarding facility has multiple rooms sectioned off by archways with baby gates. Dogs spend most of their time out with the other dogs in those rooms and sometimes separated based on personality or special needs of the animals. We have two fenced in outdoor areas that the dogs spend multiple hours in each day. Outside and inside, they have an abundance of toys to play with throughout the day. Inside, we have a lot of dog friendly furniture the dogs love to sleep and lounge on as well as a couple dog beds for them to share. The dogs are sometime left alone but we have cameras inside their rooms to check in on them remotely while we are out of the facility.

Q: What do I need to bring for doggy daycare?

A: When dropping off your dog for daycare, make sure to bring anything the dog will need or will make them comfortable. Make sure to bring any meals or medication they may need while in our care. You’re welcome to bring their own bowl or their favorite toy or bed.

Q: What vaccinations does my dog need to board with you?

A: All animals boarding at the POMP RVA Facility need to be vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and bordetella. We do not take dogs with kennel cough.

Q: Do you charge extra for medication administration?

A: We do not charge extra for medication administration. All the prices for all our services are listed on the service tab of our website.

Q: What happens if my animal gets sick while they are in your care?

A: In the unfortunate event that your animals get sick while you are out of town, we will take them to your vet as quickly as possible and do everything we can to make them feel better. We will be in constant communication with you via Time To Pet or text/call.

Q: What happens if my animal passes away while they are in your care?

A: If you have a senior animal, we will discuss options with you during our initial Meet & Greet. As someone who has lost an animal while I have been on vacation, I know how difficult it can be. We will do whatever you would like us to do as discussed before you go on vacation.
